The results are in! Actually they have already been in for a bit..
As expected, my game did average with a median score of 572 out of 1199 contestants.
The score that really stands out is my position for Audio, #75!
this is a big motivator, and perhaps a good sign of progress, as all audio in “Alien bombardment” was made from scratch.
I have invested in better studio gear recently and hope to show off with some better sound in the near future.
Last night I’ve wrapped up my first Ludum Dare entry for their 33th edition. It is also my first Unity3D project i’ve actually finished.
The project page can be found here.
I did the art and gfx myself, and used following tools:
– Photoshop CS6
– FL Studio 10
It took 20 hours and was made over a period of 31 hours. Not bad for my first try.
The hardest part was actually putting it all together (intro scene, gameplay scene…) into a working build.
The gameplay is pretty crap and the difficulty curve goes up a bit too fast, but hey, 20 hours including art assets?
I’m happy with it. Does my alien bomb not look evil?
